In His time

Book of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.’

I’ve just got back from a long break from 1st Feb till 10th Feb despite the fact that I only took 2.5 day of leave. Thanks to the public holidays that fall on the weekends and made my holidays a bit longer.

My holidays started off on 1st Feb when we went up north, me went back to turtle island with Tengku Mahkota as the driver, Kapitan Yap + Permaisuri Yap to visit my mom and Princess Joyce to visit Tengku Muda. They were there for the weekends and we had a great time enjoying the food in Penang. Kapitan Yap enjoyed the cendol at Penang Road so much that he had 2 bowls of cendol at one go. More importantly, we enjoyed the fellowship with all family members.

After they’ve left, my mom and I visited relatives who are not well. I came to realize life is so fragile and we need to cherish the moments we’re together, either we’re family or friends. On 5th Feb, my mom and I left for Bangkok for 4 days 3 nights. We traveled on our own using the free maps, we took the MRT and skytrain. Yes, we got lost but we thank God that we found out ways to the places we wanted to go. Tengku Mahkota called the Bangkok trip as mother-daughter bonding trip whereas he went back to Malacca with family to collect ang pows. Indeed, I had a good time with mom.

I came back to the city one day after I arrived in Penang from Bangkok. Now I’m back at work and working real hard to meet my deadlines, and also praying hard for His healing hands to be upon me. Me down with flu and slight fever.

Personally, I believe in God’s timing. In His time, He provides the best choice, best wisdom that we need. Through out this short break, I came across a few situations that I truly agree that there’s a time that He provides for everything.

A time for me and mom to go on short trip.

A time for me to visit my relatives

A time for both families in Penang to have good fellowship.

A time for me to rest and do not worry about work

A time for me to focus on work

A time for me to work hard now.
